新加坡获得首届青奥运主办权 申办与主办青奥运是场接力赛

２月21日是农历正月十五元宵节，而新加坡人民在这个欢乐的佳节里有了另一个庆祝的理由：我国获选为2010年首届青年奥运会的主办城市。
　　
身为青年奥运官方网站的志愿者，我们被社会发展、青年及体育部称为“YOGers”。从2007年10月，我们便开始筹划新的官方网站，目的是响应国际奥运委员会的宗旨，以数码科技为另一个崭新的平台，以吸引更多的群众认识奥运精神。
社会发展、青年及体育部给予我们这群义工广泛的思维空间，让我们年轻一代能天马行空地发挥想象力，提出我们认为适合广大网民的最佳网页设计的概念、网页上包含的互动性、内容细节等等。
　　
4个多月的筹备、努力终于在21日晚间收获了。
一路走来，我们各界付出的血汗、精神与时间可想而知。我作为“YOGers”一分子，对此更是感触良多。目睹6000多位，来自90所不同学府的莘莘学子、老师、家长以及社会各阶层人士参与了庆祝申办成功，我们心中的欣慰是非笔墨所能形容的。
当我们“白手起家”，到2月13日的亚洲新闻台访问节目、2月14日星和电缆电视ESPN Sports Star Channel 的现场访问节目；不仅如此，“YOGers”也针对莫斯科申办青年奥运的其中一名代表所执笔的信件做出我们自己的评价。这些点点滴滴，我开始不以为然，直到揭晓成绩那一霎那，才恍然大悟，了解我们审办奥运的过程是每个人的，没有独立个体或单一事件的突破，而是一场延续的接力赛，是我们新加坡国人自己的接力赛。
这个属于每位新加坡人的奇妙接力赛程启动了。总理在致词中举例说明一个68岁的德士司机写信给国际奥委会委员，指出新加坡为何应该获得主办权的理由。他还说，国内外的商家也为申办青奥运给予了极大的支持。何谓“普天同庆”、“齐心协力”，一目了然，让我们激起申办奥运的精神，为首届青年奥运2010拼上一幅美丽渲染的图画，点燃即将在东南亚——新加坡燃起的奥运之火。
